Dear Customers,
“The original Pavlovic Ointment” (made according to traditional procedure), has been used for more than 60 years for babies’ as well as adults’ skin care and protection. Its characteristics have been clinically tested in number of authorized institutions with the same conclusion and results proving that the preparation has absolutely no harmful or side effects. As evidence that the ointment is totally medically safe, “Dr Pavlovic Laboratory” keeps all necessary documentation,
As we whish to sell our product in EU as well, and at present, the demand for Pavlovic Ointment has increased on EU market, we have made all the necessary adjustments in order to participate in international competition.
The ointment comprises, among other substances, 0.36% of boric acid. The relevant scientific literature research has shown that there is absolutely no information and evidence that boric acid, used in cosmetic preparations, leaves sediment in young babies’ or infants’ organisms and that, consequently, no reports have ever been published of toxic effects, rush, diarrhea etc.
According the “Regulations on Terms Concerning Health regularity of goods for general use which are allowed to be traded :List III – LIMITEDLY APPROVED GOODS” there is the EU recommendation for some limitations to be included concerning use of boric acid and its salts in cosmetic products.
As a response to the above recommendation “Dr Pavlovic Laboratory” has, pursuant to the legal regulations applicable in EU related to cosmetic products’ quality, decided to make a new preparation which excludes boric acid. A new active substance is included in the product (allowed to be used in products for babies and infants). The new active substance has anti-inflammation , soothing and mildly antiseptic effect on sensitive babies’ and infants’ skin. This new substance included in the ointment is bisabolol, one of the most important contents of chamomile.
The formulation change is necessary in order to maintain decade long reputation of our product, used for care and protection of sensitive babies’ and infants’ skin, as well as to improve export rate to the EC countries.
